I live in Center City Philadelphia, but I have a lovely getaway home for my family in Milton Delaware. I wanted my children to have access to all that our urban lifestyle has to offer but also experience a garden and a beach close by. Milton is a beautiful little historic town on the water and is also the home of the Dogfish Brewery. The house is decorated with beach and vacation themes. We try to pick up local art on our travels to decorate it with. Leaving the city, on a Friday night, and arriving at the shore is what we look forward to all week. Hopefully the stress relief we get you will experience too after you have experienced one of the beautiful sunsets from our decks. My family and I like to read, enjoy ethnic food, travel to new places and experience new things. We trust you get a little sense of that when you stay with us. We have two separate dining tables, each comfortably seating six persons. Or you can enjoy your meals outside on middle deck on our picnic table or sofa, while watching the golfers putt for birdies! The middle floor also has a quiet office if you need to take a call, as well as a pull out sofa that converts to a single bed if needed. We have a Weber gas grill with a direct connection to the gas line … so you’ll never have to worry about running out of propane while grilling! There are three supermarkets about 2 miles away if you want to buy food and eat in, or a plethora of scrumptious restaurants both inside the community or nearby to try. When you stay in our home, we want you to be able to take advantage of everything the Peninsula has to offer – especially, the miles of quiet, flat trails. That’s why each rental includes access to eight bikes. Five bikes are designed for adults or children 12+. We also have two other bikes that are perfect for our tinier guests! The remaining bike can be adjusted to fit adults or children 8-9 years+. Finally, our home has a both a "Pop-a-Shot" basketball shooting game and a regulation size ping pong table located in our air conditioned garage. We also have pool toys, cards, books, games, a DVD player, and Wii for your enjoyment.
